They were later exonerated after spending decades in jail even after the killer confessed and his DNA matched. This case sparked controversy because of the lack of DNA evidence and the men’s declaration that they made a false confession and the confession of the real killer not being allowed in the men’s defense. How far is too far when investigating a case?
